CFP – Rethinking the Thing in the 21st century – 17-19 October, 2019, Seoul, Korea

CALL FOR PAPERS

At the outset of the 21st century technological advances combined with shifting geo-political conditions have radically altered the nature of things, from smartphones to the internet of things in contexts that are both “global”and “post-colonial”. In the spirit of collective inter-disciplinary scholarly enquiry, this conference proposes as a first step of “rethinking”the thing in the 21st century a workshop of international thinkers and practitioners across multiple fields. We invite proposals on any topic relevant to the problem of the current nature and understanding of things from disciplines such as, but not confined to, philosophy, design, aesthetics, cultural theory, and the arts.

Deadline for abstract submissions: 30 June, 2019.

Please, find further details in the attached pdf.
