Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to inform you that the election process for the renewal of the IAA Board of Officers is about to begin. This message provides important information regarding the application procedure, deadlines, and voting process ahead of the upcoming elections, which will take place in mid-June, prior to the ICA 2026 Congress (20-24 July, Prešov, Slovakia).
Call for Candidacies
Applications for the following positions will open shortly and will be managed through online forms:

- President (with First and Second Vice-President positions assigned based on results): Click here to apply

- Delegates at Large (2 positions): Click here to apply
Anyone may apply, independently of their membership status within the IAA.
Application Requirements
Candidates will be asked to submit:

- A cover letter / proposal outlining their candidacy and program for the next four years (max. 500 words)
- A brief biography (max. 150 words), including affiliation, institutional address, and (optionally) a link to an institutional page

Voting Process
Following the close of applications, all submitted candidacies will be shared with members.
– Voting will take place online via an anonymous form system in mid-June (exact dates will be announced shortly).
– Only active IAA members (i.e., members who have renewed their membership) will be eligible to vote.
Election Rules (as per Constitution, Article VI – Elections)

- The three candidates receiving the most votes for the Presidential slate shall be elected President, First Vice-President, and Second Vice-President, respectively.
- The two candidates receiving the most votes for the Secretary-General slate shall be elected Secretary-General and Assistant Secretary-General, respectively.
- The two candidates receiving the highest number of votes for Delegate at Large shall be elected.
- Only one candidate per country is permitted; where applicable, the Executive Committee (EC) will determine the final eligible candidate.
We encourage all interested members to consider submitting their candidacy and contributing to the future direction of the Association.
