ANNOUNCEMENT: New issue published 

Evental Aesthetics, an open-access journal of philosophy, is pleased to announce the publication of its latest issue: AI and Computation.

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Annual conference of The Nordic Society of Aesthetics will take place at Aarhus University, Denmark between 28-30 May, 2020, focusing on the topic of “The Aesthetics of Attention”. The aim of the conference is to investigate the relationship between aesthetics and attention in various ways: In philosophical aesthetics, in art institutions, within the field of art histories, post-/decolonialism and cultural criticism.

Deadline for abstract submissions: 15 February, 2020.

CALL FOR PAPERS AND CONTRIBUTIONS

Arts and Society launches a call for contributions for HAS, the new digital magazine in English and French for the Humanities and Arts in Society, to be published in Spring 2020. Arts and Society is a project launched on the initiative of UNESCO-MOST, the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH), Memoire de l’Avenir (MDA), in partnership with the Global Chinese Arts and Culture Society (GCACS). The goal of this new publication is to analyze current challenges through the lens of the humanities and the arts. The theme of the first issue is: Big Data and Singularities: Creativity as a Basis for Re-thinking the Human Condition.

Deadline for submissions: 31 January, 2020.

CALL FOR PAPERS

The American Society for Aesthetics is pleased to welcome submissions for the Peter Kivy Prize. The prize will be awarded to up to three people in 2020 to encourage new, unpublished work on the philosophy of music of Peter Kivy (1934-2017). In order to encourage interdisciplinary consideration of the topic, ASA membership is notrequired. Persons from related disciplines are encouraged to submit their work.

The submission deadline is 1 February, 2020.
