The editorial team of ESPES. The Slovak Journal of Aesthetics is pleased to report that the journal has just published its latest issue, titled Everyday Aesthetics: European Perspectives, co-edited by Elisabetta Di Stefano and Sanna Lehtinen. This issue includes 13 original papers and an interview with the photographer Nino Migliori, among other contributions. All contents are open access! The full issue can be viewed on the Journal’s website.
The call for papers for the next issues of ESPES are also available on the Journal’s website. The nearest deadlines for submissions are 31 January 2022 (a thematic symposium Aesthetics in Korea) and 28 February 2022 (Aesthetics Crossroads 4).

The issue includes the Symposium Aesthetics in Hungary: Traditions and Perspective, co-edited by Piroska Balogh and Botond Csuka; an interview with Prof. Jana Soskova (Presov University); the English translation of Soskova’s paper ‘The Ugliness of Banal Truths’; a discussion piece by Eleonora Orlando commenting on an article published in the previous issue of ESPES; as well as three contributions in Slovak - two book reviews and the translation of Margaret Browning’s ‘Neuroscience and Imagination: the Relevance of Susanne Langer's Work to Psychoanalytic Theory’. The editorial board of the ESPES journal continues its commitment to focus on thematic issues dedicated to scholars who have contributed to shape contemporary aesthetic thinking. After the positively received ‘Berleantian’ issue (2/2017) we now aim to concentrate on the philosophy of Tomáš Kulka (1948), which has gained major attention not only within Slovak and Czech aesthetics but also in the wider European and world context.
