The 13th International Congress of Aesthetics - Brazil, entitled “Os fins da arte”, aims to highlight recurring themes in the history of philosophical aesthetics, elaborating the ambiguity in its title, namely: “fins”, which means “ends” and also “purposes”. The conference will be held in the Department of Philosophy at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Pampulha. Also known as the Lake District, Pampulha, was recently named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for its modern architecture ensemble by Oscar Niemeyer.
The first International Summer Academy for the Philosophy of the Arts, in 2017 is devoted to the philosophy of the visual arts. It will take place at Cselley-Mühle, Sachsenweg 63, 7064 Oslip, Burgenland, Austria from Sun August 13, 18.00 pm, to Sun August 20, 2017, 12.00 am CET.
